The course discusses the role of the harmonised standard in relation to the PED and outlines the principal differences in the design rules for pressure envelope components between PD5500 and Part 3 of BS EN13445. The course will also address the increased importance of the Design-by-Analysis approach embodied within the standard.

This course is less formal than the two day BS EN13445 practical design course but copies of the course material will be provided together with worked examples to show the application of design rules unique to EN13445.

By definition this course is suitable only for those delegates with experience of PD5500.
